in my five years of staying in Singapore, this was the first time i attended the Thaipusam. i was invited to observe and join and i didn't hesitate to join the almost five hours of walk from the starting temple. just sad that i wasn't able to finish it (i was literally 2 kilometres away from the ending temple) because i was exhausted and wasn't physically ready for the walk. it wasn't that long, just that the whole parade was long and we were almost at the end of the parade and the hustle and bustle traffic to consider too. but nevertheless i really enjoyed a one of a kind experience. and this was a late post as it was held January 2013. i've taken a lot of photos but i'll be posting my fave ones.
