taken at changi village on a 12 hour day tripping.

--------

not a good start for my week. had to stay back for 3 days including today due to an eye infection. hopefully i'll get better really quick as i hate not being able to do my work (a little bit of workaholic! :D) and i can't seel clearly so i can't go shooting properly too :(

just when you've got nothing else to do but be stuck at the rooftop of a temple and you can't take pictures of the orchids because it was too dark. the sky behind the roof is the proof (rhyme?!) that it was really dark and afterwards, heavy downpour. but honestly, i also wanted to test the zoom capacity of the lens :D.

Time for Sky Watch! Lovely sky photos from around the world are up. Taken two weeks ago on my way home as i alight from the mrt. Certainly one of my fave spots at the station. :D Have a lovely weekend everyone!

guess where i've been during my 12 hour day tripping cum walkathon? :D
(a little bit of excited trying to use VR for memphis! one thing i have learnt, never go with an addict to a camera shop, you will definitely end up buying something. although no regrets, i promise myself not to visit any camera shop soon:D)

still taken at palawan beach sentosa after the rain

whenever i see hibiscus (gumamela) i can't help but reminisce childhood days. i'm a batibot kid and one of the things that i have learnt from the local sesame street show is how to make bubbles using gumamela or hibiscus. gather a couple of hibiscus flowers and leaves, grind it then mix with a little bit of detergent soap in a container and voila! you have your own bubble solution! use either a straw or a papaya stem to blow bubbles! easy and cheaper way to make one unlike these days that you will have to buy them in toy shops. although i also realised that it is cruelty to gumamela plants. i miss those days!

one of the buds from the "san beda" flower. lol! spent the whole day at home, doing laundry and cleaning and the rest of the day stalking, uhm, i mean researching! :D off to bed very early as i needed much energy for tomorrow.

after the rain. i was really working against the light trying to figure out how to catch the raindrops on the stem. still taken at sentosa. i like the bokeh. hehehe! :D

Sky Watch day again! :D continuation of my sentosa pictures. my day wouldn't be complete without a sunset shot. although it would seem like it's a 'forced' sunset too! :D the sun was still covered with thick clouds although it allowed beautiful colours on the sky. have a lovely weekend everyone!

still from palawan beach at sentosa. it's a bit rare to find white bougainvilleas here although the pink ones are very common. i like it that the flowers are in full bloom! :)

oh no!!!! now i feel so pressured about the sentosa trip! lol! it was actually a chill out day for me and my colleagues since we had our term break last week. they all decided to chill and have a swim at the beach and 'forced' me to come since i haven't set foot there. we were there for half day, they went swimming and i just had to chill out by the shore (yes, i was a killjoy! hehehe!). it rained and the sun didn't shine on that day (Friday). and since i was too lazy to wander, i just took pictures of the flowers nearby and the rest are all the photos of my 'frustrated models'. to make the story short, i was just in palawan beach and didn't really walk around the area. but i did manage to get decent shots of flowers nearby! :D i promise, the next time i'll go to sentosa, i'll be wandering around. and the flower above is one of the decent shots i took. :D

Sky Watch again! posting another sunset shot again! :D this was taken last sunday. while i was very very busy watching a tv show (which i forgot :D), i noticed the colour of the sky from the window. just like a normal routine, i got up, took my camera and happily snap pictures. i actually had to go up four floors just to have a clearer view of this sunset. this is probably what they call the "golden hour", although it doesn't really look golden :D. have a lovely weekend everyone!!!!
------
i've seen DragonBall Evolution. my first movie for this year! (yay!). i like what Grandpa Gohan told Goku, "have faith in who you are". and i am so envious of yamcha's hummer. :D

i got this shot exactly a week ago. it was raining that afternoon and there were rainbows. unfortunately, the rainbow shots are all too crappy leaving me frustrated. although, after a few minutes, i happen to catch this by the window. i immediately ran outside the house to check out the golden glow of this sunset. and since i was in a hurry to run out of the house, i walked barefoot along the hallway. good thing no one passed by or else they will think that their loony neighbour is out to snap pictures again. :D

still saddened by the latest news. it's still something unexpected about the demise of an icon...and a legend. i really couldn't help but shed tears while watching the tribute for him.
me and my closest girlfriends love "kaleidoscope world". maybe its the message, or maybe the melody. but for whatever reason it maybe, it's one of our songs. i'd share the lyrics of this song.
Kaleidoscope World
So many faces, so many races
Different voices, different choices
Some are mad, while others laugh
Some live alone with no better half
Others grieve while others curse
And others mourn behind a big black hearse
Some are pure and some half-bred
Some are sober and some are wasted
Some are rich because of fate and
Some are poor with no food on their plate
Some stand out while others blend
Some are fat and stout while some are thin
Some are friends and some are foes
Some have some while some have most
Every color and every hue
Is represented by me and you
Take a slide in the slope
Take a look in the kaleidoscope
Spinnin' round, make it twirl
In this kaleidoscope world
Some are great and some are few
Others lie while some tell the truth
Some say poems and some do sing
Others sing through their guitar strings
Some know it all while some act dumb
Let the bassline strum to the bang of the drum
Some can swim while some will sink
And some will find their minds and think
Others walk while others run
You can't talk peace and have a gun
Some are hurt and start to cry
Don't ask me how don't ask me why
Some are friends and some are foes
Some have some while some have most
Every color and every hue
Is represented by me and you
Take a slide in the slope
Take a look in the kaleidoscope
Spinnin' round, make it twirl
In this kaleidoscope world

yesterday while i was looking out, i finally saw that the sky was quite clear. meaning, no clouds were hiding the moon from my eyes. for the past few days the moon was underneath some thick clouds and i really couldn't get a picture of it. i'm glad the sky was all clear, as in no stars except for the moon. pardon the noise. i was just excited while happily snapping photos.

the Urban Patriot has finally rest today. i am not big fan of him but he's an icon in the music industry in the Philippines. he's an artist in it's real sense. it was a happy battle for him for the last seven months after he was diagnosed. i am really saddened by the news and did shed tears. and to think that one of my fave bands will have a concert tomorrow night. they are going to pay a tribute for him on the last set of their concert. condolences to the whole family....

the location seems to be the same again :D yep. it's the same location from my last week's entry for sky watch. i took this shot today at almost the same time from last week's shot. the glow of the sun is warmer. i really can't help but be captivated with sunsets. and i'll quote my friend who noticed my heart always goes to sunset shots.

sky watch photos from around the world are here. have a lovely weekend everyone!
