i've been quite fascinated with the sky these days. probably it's because of the weather which makes me more aware and curious. i can't be certain if it's going to be a sunny or rainy day and honestly speaking, it was both! it would either rain in the morning and be hot and warm in the afternoon or vice versa. and ever since i have joined sky watch i've become more watchful of the skies. i just did some tweaking with the cloud pics that i have. these were taken last week.

this is my third consecutive sunset photo for the sky watch Friday of the same place (in front of the unit/apartment). i know it may seem boring but i am always fascinated with the sunset. as from where i have read somewhere, each sunset is unique. and i am just glad that even if it rains most of the time this week, there will always be a day wherein the sun will set beautifully, as if giving me the opportunity to have something to post for Sky Watch Friday. other sky photos can be found here . it's quite rainy these days here. rarely do i see the sun shining brightly. i went home earlier than usual giving me sometime to check our neighbor's plants :D. i haven't got any raindrops/dewdrops pictures so i took the opportunity to have some. i love the clarity of the water on the leaf. and i am still hoping that i'll be able to catch the sun sometime this week.

this is either Winnie or Jippie (bengal tigers) from the Singapore Zoo. it was their feeding time and from the looks of it, she's really ready to catch her meat. as rain was pouring heavily during our visit in the zoo, we stayed in the tiger's place for more than an hour. lesson learnt from the visit: do not go to the zoo during rainy days, i wasn't able to get decent photos of the animals as they were almost all hiding and you have to deal with the natural light of the zoo which isn't that good (it's so gloomy!). i might be back some other time...

this is the same view from outside the house. i took this shot yesterday as soon as i arrived from work. weather is still unstable for this week. i was hoping to catch a good sunset photo and this is what i saw. big dark clouds slowly covering the beautiful sunset. and heavy rains after a few minutes.

glass window at Singapore Museum. nothing too special, was just fascinated with the glass and the patterns of the glass panes.

i always pass by the police training camp in Clementi after work. this tree caught my attention

right, a rambutan tree with lots of its fruits! i feel so bad because no one seems to be interested in getting those seemingly ripe and luscious fruits. if only there are no fences (not to mention its a police training camp!) i'd go get a sling shot to get these fruits (or if i can, i'd climb the tree). these fruits are quite expensive here but they are just there hanging on the tree and nobody cares to get them (not even the birds). i guess they will be just left there and wait till it's all rotten. really, i'm salivating over these fruits!

i've seen this toy from the "toy and comic convention" held in Singapore last June. it suddenly brought back the good ol' days. the tiny blue creatures. some may not know them but i am quite sure that they will be remembered once they will be brought to the big screen. yes. they will have a movie. after all it's the trend these days to resurrect the good old cartoons to let the youth know them and be familiar with what kept us glued to the tv during our youthful days. am i excited about the it? of course i am!

i was staying at home in the afternoon surfing the net. weather was not that good for the past few days (cloudy, rainy, cloudy, rainy, etc), so when i noticed that there was sun, i immediately went out of the house to check at the how the sunset looks. this is what i have seen. i find the clouds quite amusing as they seem to be brushed in the sky. other sky watch photos are here

i took a morning walk yesterday around the area i live in. i bought pao as breakfast and was happily eating. i saw this near the pavement. it's very tiny, the flower is just about a 1mm in diameter. i couldn't help but be captivated with it's sunshine colour. i tried capturing it and this is what i got.

yesterday, i arrived quite early than the usual at work. the place is still closed, rather, locked as none of my co-workers are there yet. i took the opportunity to have a look around at the back of the building as there are some plants and flowers there. the white flower caught my attention (and the usual, i can't id it). i cropped the photo below as i noticed the dew at the tip of the leaf (have you notice it?).

literally sky watching! this was shot in a plane on our trip back to Singapore from Jakarta. cloud formations are seen everywhere :D. i just can't resist the "blueness" of the sky. have a great weekend everyone! other photos are seen here

from the mini lagoon at Singapore flyer. my first attempt with running water. i cropped the whole photo because the background is too distracting. i haven't noticed if there are any koi's in this lagoon (my bad). the area is really nice and you wouldn't expect there is such at the bottom of the flyer. i was too excited with this that i forgot to zoom in to get a much better picture.

a lovely flower to start the week. you might be wondering where's the cheeze curls, it's actually the pollens of the flower as pointed out by a friend (Doc Gits). i should have made a more close up photo but since the flower is way too high for me, that's the closest that i could get. well there might be next time :D

taken from the toy and comic convention held in Singapore last June. it features toys, toys and toys (and comics as well). i took almost a dozen of pictures from it though half of the time i'm just amazed at the numerous toys in sight. :D i just couldn't miss the chance to press the shutter at the sight of these two posters.
