this will be my last post for the year as i'm off for my holiday back home with my family. i've been very very busy at work finishing a lot of prep work, display materials and lesson plans for the coming school year but at least no one would disturb me (i hope so!) during my vacation. to all my blogger friends, i wish you all a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. i will definitely be back and will (hopefully) post more photos! ciao!!!! xx

this will be my last post for Sky Watch this year as i'm going home next week for my annual holiday. i've got so many things to do at work but still i'm quite excited because i'll be spending Christmas and New Year with my family and friends and i can't wait! yay! have a lovely weekend everyone! and a Happy Christmas too! :)

i can never start my day without having a cup of coffee. be it early in the morning or by lunch (basically whatever time i wake up, after a good sleep). and in the afternoon while doing my prep materials at work and/or at night if i want to go to sleep. no, i'm not a coffee addict, just someone who appreciates coffee that much! and for some reasons i prefer this photo in black and white :)

photo was taken the same day for my 100th post. this was twilight. weather's quite funny during the week and it has been such a crazy week at work and it's going to be a lot crazier and hectic next week. i just want everything to be over and enjoy my very soon vacation with family in two weeks time. for now, i will enjoy beautiful sky photos from around the world for Sky Watch. have a great weekend everyone! :)

i'm going to postpone my post for the birds for now to give way for some christmas posts. i'm definitely looking forward for this christmas and crossing fingers that i would have ample time to finish some deadlines so i can definitely enjoy my holiday.  santa was a xmas tree decor and the candy cane was peppermint flavoured. i used faux cross-processed app for the photos to give it an old-school look. and my first time trying to do a diptych too! :D

i'm quite excited. although i still feel like days are passing by so fast that i barely realised, i've got two more weeks and i'm off for my annual Christmas holiday back home. so many things to do, but so little time. tick tock tick tock! :D

we went to the lory loft at the bird park but i haven't had the chance to feed them. i was too busy with all the vivid colourful birds swarming the area. and they can be quite noisy too! :) it was actually quite a feast in the eyes at the loft watching the birds flying around. :)

i passed by the ostrich area in the bird park and saw him (or her) waiting to be taken a portrait of. had i made justice? i hope i did! :D

kind of a special post tonight. (1) it's a moon photo, taken two nights ago, one of my fave subjects that i've been neglecting for this year; (2) my 99th Sky Watch post and; (3) i'm watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows tonight! yay! my most awaited movie for years. and my most fave book series of all time. i'm so excited! pardon me, i'm really a fan! :) amazing skies are surely up again! have a great weekend everyone! i've just seen the movie. and i love love love it! just don't expect it to be a lot like the book because they have modified it. but carry some tissue, i admit, i cried when h and d died, and with the holey moment too. but there were laughing moments too and a crazy unnecessary moment. and now i'm doing my countdown, eight months to go for the final installment! Obliviate! :D

i'm trying to clean up my archives and post photos that has been around for this year. i mentioned i went to Singapore Bird Park last June (my first and last trip) and took some photos of the ever ready birds. i'm trying to sort out the photos as there were quite a few. for now, let me start by posting the happy feet crew! :D

i'm not fond of frogs, and i don't hate them either. i don't despise them but really i'm just scared of them. but still they make good subjects for a quick photo opportunity right?! look at the eyes, mesmerizing right?

a good way to start a lazy day! i've been catching up reading in between my "project". most especially when i'm too lazy to finish the editing. i couldn't start my day without coffee. and was able to finish three  Greg Iles novels for the past few weeks.

i've missed taking sunset photos. it's been quite busy and hectic since the start of the year for me and i don't think it's slowing down anytime soon. but i'm glad i had the chance to attend a wedding last Sunday at Sentosa and chill out with friends afterwards at Siloso beach. i was like a crazy woman running around the beach trying to find a sweet spot for sunset photos. i'm glad i did find one! :D amazing skies are surely up for Sky Watch. have a great weekend everyone! :D

still badly missing the beach. i've been dreaming about it lately. and no matter how near i am to Sentosa(about two bus stops away), i would still want a real beach (as they put it, i'm a beach snob. hehe). but as i always tell them, different strokes for different folks :D

just missing the sand, beach and waves. my whole being is craving for a good long vacation.

taken last February. somehow i keep on telling that i have some personal projects going on. i'm glad to say that i'm done with it! feel such a relief after being able to finish it. there are a lot of things i've learnt from it. i still need to polish some stuffs before finally posting it here. one thing i've realised is that it's not easy to say "yes".

i've been neglecting my blog for this year and i feel guilty. haven't been much out taking snaps and sorting out my archives. i'm still trying my best to sort things out as work is taking too much time. my other project is pushing through. i just need some time before i ran out of time again. lesson learnt though, never say "yes" without thinking of the consequences. :D and, i would want to own a holga camera, a real one! but still contemplating which one would come first. lens or camera? any suggestions?

i missed Sky Watch last week as i was quite stuck with a lot of stuffs. still trying to catch up with some works and personal stuffs. weather is not helping as well as it's back to normal. normal, being sunny and wet and rainy during the day. wasn't able to get a chance to have a new sunset photo. instead, this photo was of the same sunset i posted two weeks ago. this was at a different location and a little earlier that the previous one. have a happy weekend everyone!

i got back from my speedy backpack vacation a few days ago. i returned with loads of work and personal stuffs to do. although i had a blast from my hectic vacation, i didn't took much photos of anything, but it was the best surprise i've ever given to my grandma (she almost had a heart attack seeing me in front of our door! :D) and my mum (she pretended to be upset of not knowing). my other "project" is coming up, will still sort things out before i post about it here. :)

taken two days ago  walking back from work. i had to climb up the railroad upon noticing the stunning sunset. i'm always glad to have eleanor around :D btw, i'm off back home for a quick surprise time (long weekend) with my family. it's my grandmum's 80th birthday and she doesn't know i'll be home, actually my whole family doesn't know :D i'm so excited! amazing skies are surely up again for Sky Watch. have a great weekend everyone! :)

he's Azumi's son :) he's one sweet fat cat. every morning, at 6 am, it's his ritual to wake me up, standing outside of my room and "meow-ing" until i get up and give him his breakfast. after that he would ask me to play with him or he would stand outside the shower area and wait until i'm done. he'll just go back to sleep once i leave for work. and he loves sharing the couch with me while i watch tv at night. he loves being the centre of attention. i managed to catch a portrait of him while he's resting :)

Faber about exactly two months ago. weather is up to the extremes this week. it's like alternating days of sunny and humid and cool and wet. i was told that this is not the usual weather during this time of the year, it has never rained this much in a month! i'm still busy with loads and loads of stuffs but i couldn't pass up posting for Sky Watch. have a lovely weekend everyone!

i haven't been posting a lot lately. i've been kind of slacking off due to lots of changes happening around me, having moved to a new place (at the foot of Mt. Faber :D). i've also ventured into doing some "projects" which i plan to post and tell once i've sorted everything out. i don't like it when i'm piling things up but i can't help it, i'm such a slacker! :D
