when you are faced with a bunch of flowers in the vase, grab the camera and just shoot away :D is this carnation? am not really sure :D

Not a carnation! It looks like a type of chrysanthemum to me. :)

I must agree with EG WOW this looks more like a mum (chrysanthemum) than carnation. You sure know how to take stunning pictures be it landscape, skyscape - those jaw-dropping sunsets - and even still life. Hats off. Can I sign up for your seminar?
